DelayPilot is an information tool, and only that. It never files a claim, a complaint, or a refund request. It never books, purchases, rebooks, or cancels anything. It never represents you, and it never signs in anywhere as you. What it does is tell you what is known about a flight, how much to trust that information, and which published rules may apply to your situation — with the source, the version, and the timestamp attached.
What DelayPilot is
DelayPilot is an independent travel-information tool. It is not an airline, airport, government agency, law firm, claims company, or flight-data provider. Guidance is informational and may not reflect every fact in your case.
Airline, airport, and regulator names, and IATA or ICAO codes, appear on this site only to identify a flight, a place, or a rule. Their use does not imply any relationship. DelayPilot is not affiliated with, endorsed by, appointed by, or acting for any airline, airport, government agency, or regulator, and it does not display any third party's logo, wordmark, or brand styling.
What DelayPilot never does on your behalf
- It never submits a claim, complaint, refund request, rebooking, or purchase for you — not to an airline, not to a regulator, not to anyone.
- It never acts as your agent, your representative, or your legal adviser.
- It never reads your email inbox, scrapes an airline account, or authenticates as you to a third party.
- It never asks for a booking reference or record locator, a passport, a government ID, a Known Traveler Number, a redress number, a card number, or an airline account password.
- It never classifies an emergency and never gives safety-critical aviation advice. Weather and airspace information describes operating conditions, nothing more.
These are not preferences that a future release might relax. They are invariants the codebase is built and reviewed against, and a change to any of them would be a change to what this product is.
Passenger-rights information is an estimate, not a decision
Where DelayPilot describes passenger rights, it describes what published rules may mean for the facts you entered. Every assessment is tied to a named, dated rule-set version with links to the official source, and is limited to five outcomes: a rule likely applies, may apply, is not indicated, cannot be determined from what is known, or is a future rule that is not yet in force. DelayPilot never tells you that a payment is due to you, never states that an airline is required to pay you, and never presents an assessment as a determination. Only the airline or the relevant regulator can decide your case.

Today, no rule set is in force. The rights engine carries no rule data, so this site produces no rights assessment about a real flight at all. Any passenger-rights writing you find here is general explanation with its official source named, and the only rights output that appears before a rule set is published is inside clearly labelled demonstration content built from an invented itinerary.
Flight information changes, and can be wrong
Operational flight information comes from third-party data providers and from official aviation sources. It can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong, and it changes while you are reading it. Every value DelayPilot displays carries a label saying where it came from and how fresh it is, and where no trustworthy answer exists the interface says so rather than estimating one.
Flight information can change quickly. Confirm critical details with the operating airline and airport.
Today no flight-data provider is connected and no provider licence is recorded, so live flight data is Unavailable and the site says exactly that.
Risk and connection assessments are estimates
Delay risk, cancellation risk, and connection assessments are estimates derived from the information available at the time. DelayPilot shows a qualitative risk band rather than a percentage unless a calibrated model has been validated and deployed, because a number implies a precision that an uncalibrated model does not have.
This is an estimate, not an airline decision or safety forecast.
Demonstration content is fiction
To show what the product does without paid data, DelayPilot uses a deterministic, invented itinerary. Every panel built from it carries this label:

This site is provided as it is, without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. It may be changed, interrupted, or withdrawn at any time. Do not rely on it alone for a decision that cannot be reversed: confirm critical details with the operating airline and the airport before you act.
Using this site
The site is free to read and needs no account. You may read, print, and share its pages. The text, design, and original explanation remain DelayPilot's; regulatory text and official source material belong to the bodies that publish it, and is linked rather than reproduced wholesale. Do not use this site in a way that breaks the law or that interferes with its operation for other readers.
Liability and governing law
This section is deliberately incomplete. The operator has not yet designated a governing jurisdiction, and no limitation of liability has been through legal review. Rather than copy a clause from elsewhere and present it as agreed, DelayPilot states the position plainly: no such clause is asserted here, and nothing on this page is intended to remove a consumer protection that the law of your country gives you. This section will be written once a jurisdiction is designated and a lawyer has reviewed the result.
Changes to these terms
These terms are rewritten rather than added to when the product changes — an account system, a purchase, a saved trip, or a published rule set each change what there is to govern. The reviewed date at the top of this page records when its description last matched the site.
